Jaarplan 2024

TU Delft AgTech organiseert 12 september een congres met als titel ‘The energy transition in agriculture’. Het evenement wordt geopend met keynotes van Dr.ir. Emile Chappin en prof.dr. ir. Olindo Isabella van de TU Delft. Daarnaast zijn er een paneldiscussie, thematische break-out sessies en een matchmakingprogramma. Het aantal plaatsen is beperkt.

Programma

11:00 – 11:30 Walk-in
11:30 – 11:45 Welcome and opening, By Tamas Keviczky, professor at the Delft Centre for Systems and Control and scientific director of the TU Delft AgTech Institute.
11:45 – 12:25 Keynote speakers

  • Dr. ir. Emile Chappin, Associate Professor of Energy Systems & Simulation at the Faculty of Technology Policy and Management.
  • Prof. dr. ir. Olindo Isabella, Head of the Photovoltaic Materials and Devices group at the EEMCS faculty.

12:25 – 13:10 Panel discussion – The potential of state-of-the-art technology in energy aligned with industry challenges towards collaboration in research and valorisation projects (Moderated by Zwanet van Lubek, Head of TU Delft | Corporate Innovation)
13:15 – 14:00 Lunch break
14:00 – 16:00 Thematic break-out sessions (two rounds)

  • Theme 1: Tour of The Green Village; where, knowledge- and educational institutions, entrepreneurs, government bodies, and civilians can research, experiment, validate and demonstrate their sustainable innovations eg the integration of the future energy system of greenhouse horticulture with its urban environment. The Green Village is a place where people can live, work and learn, exempt from standard rules and regulations.
  • Theme 2: Sustainable sources – Hydrogen, Agrivoltaics, Batteries, Fuel Cells and Electricity: with presentations from Professor Olindo Isabella, Professor Pavol Bauer, and others
  • Theme 3: Large-scale local storage – High-Temperature Heat Storage, Phase Change Materials: speakers to be confirmed
  • Theme 4: Integration with the external system – Multi commodity grids, Simulating the energy transition and energy balance: with presentations from Dr. ir. Igor Nikolic, and others.
  • Theme 5: Resource-efficient crop management – climate control and energy use optimization, Heat Transfer: with presentations from Professor Tamas Keviczky, and others.
