The European Week of Regions and Cities recently took place in Brussels. Regions and cities showed their ability to create growth and jobs and put the European Union’s cohesion policy into practice. The Municipality of Westland, the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (Cluj-Napoca), Province of North Holland, Pays de la Loire Europe and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries organized the workshop ‘Plants: the solution for Europe’s sustainable and healthy future’. Speakers were Bouke Arends (Mayor of Westland), Daniel Buda (Member of the European Parliament) and Karin Metzlaff (Director General European Plant Science Organisation).
